Exertis, a UK leading B2B and retail distributor, has announced the strengthening of its strategic partnership with Ricoh, the global technology company specialising in office imaging equipment, production print solutions,
document management systems, sustainability solutions and IT and communication services. The bolstered alliance builds on an existing 12 month relationship with Ricoh and will see Exertis assume responsibility for the global delivery of an extended range of AV and print solutions.
This announcement complements and enhances the enterprise solutions already available through Exertis and will enable its resellers and partners to offer an even more comprehensive range of print and projector solutions to their customers. Under the terms of the agreement, Exertis will extend its portfolio with the versatile SP 4510DN printer, the SP 4510SF MFP, the SP C252SF wireless MFP, the SG 3110SFNw GelJet MFP and the highly-desirable PJ WX4240N ultra-short throw projector.
Commenting on the relationship, Steven Hastings, IT distribution channel director at Ricoh said: “While Ricoh is the fastest growing printer manufacturer across the UK and Europe, Exertis is one of the fastest growing technology distribution companies in Europe, making for an ideal business partnership. Our existing relationship with Exertis has enabled us to reach new audiences and further strengthen our business in retail, SME/SMB and the public sector and so we look forward to this natural evolution of our relationship.”
Known for the quality of its technology, the exceptional standard of its customer service and sustainability initiatives, Ricoh selected Exertis on the strength of its global resources, proven expertise in configuration, logistics, distribution and experience in managing the international supply chain for many well respected brands.
Jamie Brothwell, Print Business General Manager at Exertis added: “Having worked with Ricoh in the retail sector for the past 12 months, it was a natural progression to expand our offering with the B2B product range. We were blown away by the breadth of Ricoh’s IT services and complementary products, in addition to their ever growing printer range, and after being highly impressed by the drive and ambition of the brand, we felt it a great fit.”
As Visual Business and AV General Manager at Exertis, Ian Aitken was keen to add: “Partnering with Ricoh further augments our extensive portfolio of AV solutions, making it even easier for our reseller partners to source the most suitable products for their customers, while guided by our AV knowledge and experience.” He continued: “Ricoh’s offering is highly desirable, offering an extremely well-specified ultra-short throw range of projectors. As a result, we are excited to be working with Ricoh across this range and believe our reseller partners will share this enthusiasm.”
