Specialist recruitment agency Field Solutions Group has 30 years’ combined experience within the office equipment sector
Field Solutions Group (FSG) was founded by Tom Mills who spent six years at Concept Resourcing where he set-up a team of specialists recruiting within the MPS space, and 20-year sales veteran James Fernihough, who has worked in companies including Altodigital and Capita DIS.
The duo who are joined by wives Jessica Mills and Natalie Fernihough, have a unique understanding of both the client and the candidate markets within the MPS/print industry.
FSG, which is based in Wombourne near Wolverhampton, has a ‘discipline focused’ approach to recruitment. In the first six months of trading, it has successfully carved out success filling field-based sales and service roles within a number of sectors including the refrigeration and air conditioning industries. The company is shortly bringing another two recruits on board and is now formally unveiling the launch of its dedicated MPS division which Mills says will be its key focus area moving forward.
Dedicated MPS division
Mills, who previously worked alongside Natalie, has enjoyed significant success recruiting field service and sales staff for both OEMs and resellers operating within the office equipment sector. His core specialism has been in placing engineers in key roles nationwide. The two experienced recruiters know their market inside out and have built relationships with many of the industry’s manufacturers and dealerships nationwide, helping them to build an effective, ﬂexible workforce that meets their business needs.
“James brings another level of expertise to the team,” Mills said, adding: “Having spent two decades as a sales professional, he knows first-hand the skillset a client looking to fill a sales position within the MPS and document solutions sector requires, and importantly, is well positioned to match the right candidate with the right role.”

“The MPS sector will be our core business,” Mills explained, adding: “However what we will also do is to continue to strengthen our specialism in other sectors, building dedicated sector specific focused teams so as not to dilute our offering in any given area.”
Growth is firmly on the cards for this young business and increasing headcount is naturally a key part of that. “We have a plan in place that will see us increase revenue and expand into new areas. We will be hiring new staff each quarter and each new hire will be a specialist within their sector,” he said.
